Nanjing is the city of aircons aka kongtiaos. Blame us for being south of the Yangtze River. That means no central heating like the Northerners. That also means cold aircon in the summer and hot aircon in the winter. Suck really, especially if your aircon starts not working!

1. Is your remote working? If it’s working, the LCD screen will continue to show information on the temperature etc. It could be that your batteries are weak and you need to change them.

2. Is your socket the problem? You can check it by plugging something else into it to check.

3. Is it just your aircon not having cool air coming out. Many air-conditioner use the evaporation of a refrigerant, usually Freon, to provide cooling. You might need to call in someone to top up on the Freon.

4. A bigger problem would be the chip card in the aircon. For such problems, perhaps the aircon technician would know better.
