When you look at a place, you might want to look out for the 浴霸 [yu4ba4] in the toilet. It’s this set of lights that keep you warm when you stand stark naked in the winter. Many places will have one, but if you decide on getting a place with a non-yuba-ed toilet, you can go find them at GOME, WALMART, or SUNING.
Here’s the [yu4ba4] with a normal lamp - for the summer:
Okay, the toilet really isn’t that dark. It’s just camera deception… And here’s the 浴霸 [yu4ba4] with all four heating lamps turned on at full blast:
It really gets much warmer with the 浴霸 [yu4ba4]. The one you’re seeing in the picture is the 奥普 [ao4pu3] brand. It was the first one brought in from Australia - haha, didn’t expect that did you? It’s slightly more expensive than the local brands.
